Appendix A: ewok special files

Most of these can only be viewed (or listed in the ewok file manager) by users with the appropriate permissions (typically 'admin' or 'permissions').

Permissions

• authz.map - ewok permissions map for the directory
• .htaccess - apache permissions control file implementing ewok permissions

Metadata

• .meta - metadata directory (mostly file metadata)
• .dir.meta - inherited directory metadata (main directory)
• .dirn.meta - non-inherited directory metadata (.meta directory)
• *.meta - file metadata (.meta directory)
• metadata.map - metadata definition map (EWOK_HOME/htdocs - see Configuring metadata)
